Country Road Group

Steven was appointed CEO of Country Road Group in July 2025. He is a highly experienced global retail leader with over 30 years in executive and board roles across the UK, North America, Europe, and Asia. He brings deep capability in brand, product, and multi-banner retail, with a strong record of leading complex business transformations.

He was previously CEO of Debenhams and led Selfridges Group's Holt Renfrew & Co, with leadership spanning both mid-tier and luxury retail. At Debenhams, he oversaw the business through privatisation, restructuring, and the successful sale of its brand and digital assets. At Holt Renfrew, key accomplishments included over 50% sales growth in five years; the expansion of luxury vendor partnerships including Hermès, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci; the launch of Holtrenfrew.com; and the envisioning of the merged Holt Renfrew Ogilvy flagship in Montreal.

Steven has held senior roles with international brands including Calvin Klein and Perry Ellis, bringing proven leadership across fashion, home, and beauty in both digital and physical retail.
